Title: grumble grumble brakes grumble.
Post by: fakejimmymorgan on August 08, 2015, 12:09:01 AM
so it is a combination of: blocked master cylinder, blocked brake line, cactus fluid, knackered seals.  I just hate that I get 1 day a week to work on it and confirm its what I said it would be 3 weeks ago.  Now to wait 2 weeks for parts grrrrr.

2 weeks for parts?? Where are you buying from? I always deal with Mick Hone even though I'm in Brissie. If they're not in stock there's about a day delay then they post them and you can get them express posted... most it ever took for something I was in a hurry for was 3 days... the prices are very competitive also, usually cheaper for me to buy from there and have them posted than buy from my local dealer.

Their online parts fiche makes it so simple too...

Living in country SA.  Even parts from 75km away go to Adelaide (400km) before they come back to me.  Have been dealing with Kessner Suzuki but finding even if ordered, paid for and in stock they aren't sent for around 4 days which sort of negates the "express" option.

In other news: Won the brake system on eBay for $50 (lever, master cylinder, switch, line and caliper)

Ah got ya... seriously if you have to mail order then give Mick Hone a go, the only delays I've had from them is if they need to order from the warehouse due to not having them in stock, and it's only a day or so. Have a look at their prices online and you'll see it's probably worth it for price too  :thumb:

Good news on the brake system!
