Title: Weird Power Curve - is this normal??
Post by: Jordonwiebe on September 12, 2015, 01:54:07 PM
Wondering if the power curve on my 92 Gs is normal. Here's how it goes:
1500-3800 rpm: Decent power but not great
3800-6000 rpm: Woah where did all this power come from suddenly
6000-10000 rpm: Living the life with full power!!

Basically having large spikes of power at these intervals. let me know what you think.

Considering I never really Run the bike under 3500 rpm, I can't really relate to the low end observation too much.  This little engine likes to rev.  I find that the power really hits at around 6500.  I think this is completely normal for the little twin.

you would have the 2 jet carbs in yours so it may come in more lumps.

I find its quite torquey untill 4-5K then the horsepower takes over from 6k-redline
