Title: F tank on E bike???

Has anyone ever tried this?!? If so please show or tell me about it! Thanks!!
There was another post about it but it never went anywhere.

Yup, fits, straight swap apart from the seat 'front tongue' extension of the E seat which on some bikes, can be a bit tight on the rear of the tank,
And the forward sidepanel grommet pins don't fit into anything because the F tank doesn't have provision for the grommets, but you don't need these, the sidepanels stay in place just fine without them.
I've done 2 of these no problems, on one of them I trimmed the seat tongue a bit lower to fit the F tank better, see pic.

Also, we talk about the Es as the naked bikes and the Fs as the faired bikes, but there's technically the K1 and K2 from 2001 and 2002 that have the same seat and tank as the faired bikes. Just in case you have a 2001 or 2002, the newer seats from the faired bikes will work fine.
