Title: HELP NEEDED ASAP identifying full fairing kit off a 92 model
Post by: nathaniel2910 on September 26, 2015, 05:15:21 AM
Hey everyone, need help from everyone, I've fitted a fairing to my k3 gs, I got the fairing from a guy who had them sat in his loft for 20 years, so lost most of the mounting kit.
Basically it's this fairing(sorry for crap image, only one I could find after hours of trawling)
Basically it has twin round headlights.
The left side of fairing goes behind side stand, the side stand fits snugly into the moulded part of fairing.
Right side has a flare out bit behind footrest to cover exhaust pipe a bit.
Only pic I could find here

Need help with mounting hardware, as it only came with the u clamp for headstock and one clamp for lower engine frame spars at front(square bits)

Will get some pics up when I can but for now there's just the one side pic.

Any help is greatly appreciated guys cheers

I'm not familiar with all the older model fairings. .. but don't recall a twin headlight version being mentioned as OEM ... so it's likely that is an aftermarket kit? ... you may need to fabricate your own mounts? ... some would have to be standard positions/size but looking at the pic there is a lot more fairing than usual so possibly more mount points?

Looks a nicely styled fairing though!

In a ideal world you need a big "bucket o random mount tabs" to sift thru and find what fits?

... of course it could be standard factory unit of the day and I just haven't been paying attention!

Its a MK1 TCP kit. Made in Spain and sold throughout Europe. Some were factory fitted. The twin lights are actually Aprillia parts.

These fairings have been talked about in here many times in the past........... do a search  :thumb:

It's not that fairing sledge, the headlight isn't a single unit. There's two separate cutouts.
The lower fairings go under the footrests and behind

Apologies  The pic is actually a MK2.

This is the Mk1 with the 2 cutouts.

However its definitely a TCP. Something tells me they went out of business a few years ago so you might struggle to find parts.

Suggest you try and find a local TCP agent and go from there.

Fantastic cheers, explains why there's not much out there being a mk1

Also just that pic helps loads, confirms my suspicions, the panels that sit under the footrests use one of the foot hanger bolts :D
