The Chinese Buddha is some kind of ancient satire I am sure.
Buddha was born and lived most of his life near Saranath in Uttar Pradesh in India. Its a few 100 miles to china from there - though you have to climb over these pesky things called the Himalayas. The people that did to escape moghul persecution pretty much ended up forming the countries of Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan etc etc.
That may have spread Buddhism to china, but somewhere along the way Buddha also got bloated ...
BTW I do resemble that guy or I aspire to in a few yrs, or well, aspire to not, just not into the gold though.

I live across the street from the Buddha Temple , man that place is big , something like 37 bathrooms , hacienda heights California on ( Hacienda 39 ) it is however the Chinese Temple , only been inside just one time , when it opened "grand opening" .

forgot to mention , they have a different month of celebration for the new year / Christmas holidays , its pretty cool ......... boy do I see some very good looking woman in their 40s that are going inside the temple ............
