Title: 1990 gse won't change into neutral
Post by: fakejimmymorgan on October 03, 2015, 01:52:09 AM
Will change up gears into 3,4,5,6 etc and will shift down but gets stuck in 2 seems.

Possible explanations....

Ignore this post. I'm an idiot. All sorted. Neutral still hard to get into but might free up with an oil change.

Jimmy, check your clutch cable per the manual. The Suzuki GS transmission is regarded as being pretty stout, most issues come from the clutch cable being out of adjustment.

Did have a forehead slap for a moment. Still seems to go past neutral and into first when changing down

That's really easy to do. Same as being in first and trying to get it in neutral - it will slip right past and go into second.
