A new thread idea. a place to look for items needed or usable on things. ill begin. Ive been wondering why start ya bastard ( engine starting ether ) is not available in the us. customs classifies it as a bomb or explosive device. janx had sent me an empty can ( which i use for storing items securely. thank you my friend. but wondering if or how one can import it to the states without breaking any laws. i keep the can in my workshop and a frend noticed it and laughed. cause i was trying to start my gas scooter to sell it. (since standing days are indefinately postponed. ill motorise my bike once i save for an engine kit.) anyhoo is it possible to import "start ya bastard" to the us legally. if so, how?
another question i grabbed " free" two computers while i worked at goodwill. an imac G4 in box complete. which im trying to sell on ebay at some point. wont bring much but hey why not right?. another item is a power supply for a VINTAGE tandy 1100fd laptop i got that same day as the mac. i borrowed power supply momentarily. it works. it also is in box complete sans power supply. ive plenty of power supplies @ home. ranging from 6v centre positive,. a 10v, many 12v s im wondering how much i can exceed the 9.5v it calls for.
anyways this thread is manly a q&a regarding various things ppl would be looking for bike related or other. i put it here because i didnt want to put it in fs ft since that is reserved mainly for our beloved gs.

On the Start ya Bastard. .. it's just aerosol delivered ether.... some of the good ol boys that race Nascar or Drags would HAVE to have similar stuff around the place. ... Aerostart is another common brand name, (not as cool as SYB obviously! Lol) ...
Reckon motor racing/ auto parts people would be best to start asking how, of course it may require ordering a case or two of the stuff and sea shipping only. ...
Amazon buying power perhaps with sea shipping? ...
Thinking. . .
SYB is an unofficially officially required item for any gearhead.. cause those oare almost always the first three words out on a bad day.

Had to keep a can handy for my car when the airflow sensor died.

We get all sorts of starting fluid in arosols up here in Canada, but I've never seen any "Start Ya Bastard". Now I've got to find some if I can. Such a great name.
I'll be looking.....

Doesnt seem that SYB is available any place but aus. and uk. idk why ether is just as explosive . its a great name lol. would sell like hotcakes here. :)
Aaron
Just branding eh. . International transport of the stuff for financial volumes would be the kicker!
Imagin the money NULON ( manuf. of SYB) could make licensing the name for production overseas ( i.e. north america.) or licensing the name. would make an epic t shirt lol.
Aaron
Used to be just called 'aerostart' .. same looking can but only name and little logo changed.... vaguely recall it was a company buyout/restructure over license issues anyway!... maybe the 'risque' terminology would offend the fundamentalist religious folks? .. some of them are ultra twitchy eh!
No matter what starter we use, when we use it USUALLY SYB is what were saying either shortly before or during its use. id have to write nulon and see 1 if it could be imported and if so what it would cost. sure it would be prohibitive, there is a reason its not here after all lol. the name is genious lol. whoever came up with it got their bonus lol.

Btw, does anyone have a logitech unifying usb reciever they will sell ? ebay seems awfully proud of theirs and so is logitech lol.
