Hello,
While I am driving, the RPM goes down for a sec and comes back to normal. This is happening so much from past 2 weeks.
I feel like enough gas is not going in to the carburetor. Please help!
How about a little more information. At what RPM does this happen? at what road speed? At what throttle position?
Does it occur when the engine is cold or warm.
Do you have an inline fuel filter?
It happens randomly, but I saw that it happens more when I start riding. The more miles I drive the less it happens. There is no specific RPM, road speed and throttle position.
Mostly cold.
I am not sure about fuel filter.
If it were my bike that is where I would start, look for obstructions to fuel flow. Clogged in-tank-petcock-screen, clogged in-line fuel filter, pinched line.
Can you get it to behave like this while on the centerstand? If so you could watch the fuel levels in the float bowls using some 1/8" clear tubing. Connect a length of the tubing to the drain on the side of the float bowl, secure the hose so that the free end of it is higher than the float bowl (using tape or something), then crack open the drain plug. Due to physics, the fluid level in the tube will be equal to the fluid level inside the float bowl.
If you could see the fuel level to below the level of the gasket during the loss of power then that would be a good clue.
