Title: LED Bulbs
Post by: Sherlock on February 18, 2016, 07:07:38 PM
Does anyone know if there are any LED bulbs available to replace the dash indicator lamps ( high beam, neutral, oil, turn signal ) along with the speedometer and tachometer bulbs? Thank you

Sure. Just about any blade-style LED bulbs in the same size.

Replacing the turn signal bulb is problematic, though. If you don't get the right one (non-polarized?), you have to change bulbs in the signals themselves to LED.

The bulbs behind the gauges and the indicator lights are all the same size.

superbrightleds.com are generally well-received.

If you're patient, get the Chinese 194 bulbs on ebay. Any color you want for $0.72 each, including the shipping. You just have to wait a month. One seller in the US offers a 6 pack of 194 LEDs for around $4, and he gives you the choice of colors.

Here's the guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-pcs-T10-194-168-W5W-led-light-bulbs-white-blue-red-amber-green-Choose-Colors-/270672392411?hash=item3f0554f0db:m:mi8sgouRDvtq81cw2b2Fw_g&vxp=mtr

My plan is to change the blinker bulbs, dash bulbs, and tail bulbs to LED, along with the flasher module. Anyone know a good source for the module. Not sure about the head lamp. Any thoughts or experience with a LED head lamp?

On a side note, will be getting a pair of Galfer brake lines with a medium blue sheath for the GS in about a month. The pair is just a smidge over $100 US with $18.20 US shipping to Texas from California. Think I will go with a Delkevik (sp?) carbon fiber slip on around the same length as stock, to go with the K&N in the box filter and DynoJet stage 1 kit.

You should be able find everything you need to go full LED at superbrightleds. The owner seemed pretty responsive when I questioned him.

Pricier than sourcing everything from eBay, but more helpful to get you what you actually need, easier to get things replaced, not on the complete other side of the planet (assuming you're not on the complete other side of the planet).

That's not true. The gauge bulbs are bigger, 194's vs 74's, this is on a 2006.
