Title: Tacho problem where to look?
Post by: user11235813 on March 05, 2016, 07:46:14 PM
Last week the tacho stopped working for a minute, I didn't think much more about it till it cut out today for a bit longer then it came back on line. Obviously something is loose or failing somewhere. Do you think this is a problem in the dash or at the engine end. Any advice on what to look for?

thx

GS500 2010 model.

2010 GS500 has an electronic tach. You can remove the tach from the housing and see if all of the wires are snugly secure to the rear of the tach. That's the likeliest and easiest to fix issue of a bouncy tach needle/unresponsive tach.
