Title: How to align front wheel with handle bars?
Post by: Yianna on March 28, 2016, 12:52:42 PM
I posted here about my crash a few weeks ago and am now in the process of repairing my bike.

How do I align the front end? My handle bars point to the right when my wheel points to the front.
I loosened these nuts plenty and even removed the ones that hold together the bottom tripple tree.

The front was still stiff and I couldnt twist or loosen up the handle bars at all when the wheel was held in position.
The fork brace was still on tight.

What do?

The triple tree isn't necessary....the 2 allen bolts(1 each side) at the top of the forks is.

I had one time it didn't straighten out until the fork brace was loosened, could see it move back in place as the brace was loosened.

I cant loosen the top triple tree, I used an expensive allen key and it just twists. Any ideas?

Buy(their not expensive) or borrow an impact driver with the correct allen key.
