I am the third owner and I purchased the bike with around 24000 miles or so. The first picture was the bike before I made some changes.
The second picture is the bike after I completely disassembled it, cleaned everything, and replaced everything that wasn't in perfect working order.
The next picture is inside the crankcase to show you how spotless this engine is inside. I tore it apart to rebuild it because I was re-ringing it at about 28000 miles and figured I might as well rebuild the whole thing while I was at it. But the bearings, journals, and all crankcase components were flawless, so I only replaced the piston rings and all the engine gaskets and oil seals.
Then I painted the frame black and the body parts flat white. The next picture is simply to show the drawing process. I spent about 118 hours drawing all over the white parts with sharpie. Then I painted just about everything with a 2K polyurethane high gloss clear coat (for those unfamiliar, that's the same kind of clear coat on your car from the factory) to ensure the artwork lasts the life of the bike.
Then I reassembled the entire bike according to the factory service manual, greased, lubricated, and torqued as necessary. The last picture is the bike presently. This bike has been a fun project for me, but now it's pretty much finished only for me to discover that a recent back injury has rendered me car-bound probably indefinitely. So I'm not going to just store the thing, it needs to be enjoyed. I don't care one bit if whoever buys it wants to take credit for the work, I just want someone to enjoy it.
Anyway, here's a list of what I can remember having done to it thus far:
Upgraded front brake line to braided steel
Replaced rear caliper (so front and rear brakes have nearly brand new fluid and parts)
Upgraded front and rear suspension (ride height is adjustable via rear links) - Sonic Springs and Katana 600 Shock
Freshly oiled K&N drop in filter
Rejetted carburetors, thoroughly cleaned them, and replaced a variety of gaskets and O-rings
Replaced brake pads front and rear
Replaced chain (sprockets showed no wear and it's minimal now)
Newer Duralast battery
I replaced a variety of other parts, but can't recall which off the top of my head
Here's a list of things I was planning to do before realizing I won't be riding anymore (and I have all the components for these already, which will be included - or installed and completed for an additional $300):
Shift indicator, to be installed in the tachometer housing
Automatic chain oiler, with backlit (when on) power button to be placed between the gauges
LED lights for every bulb on the bike (including dash indicators)
Brake light modulator (for visibility from the rear when stopping)
And I was going to paint the dash white and gloss the gauge housings
Every bit of maintenance one can do to this bike has been done within the past 1000 miles.
Always used Valvoline oil and quality filters, changed every 1000 miles.
Tires are still in good shape.
Bike needs nothing, ready to go.
There are a couple issues that I will not take the time to fix, as they are simply nuisances that don't have any significant impact on rideability or reliability. There is a very small leak from the tach cable on the front of the cylinder head and a small leak between the cylinder block and the crankcase on the backside of the cylinders. Occasionally enough builds up for a drop of oil to hit the ground, but oil loss from riding is minimal. Also, when hot, there is a slight vacuum leak somewhere that will cause the idle to hang around 3k rpm. Let out the clutch a bit to drop the rpms below 2k and it will then idle just fine, so no embarrassment at stoplights.
Other than those issues, the bike is in fantastic shape and is ready to ride. It currently has a bit over 29000 miles. I'm asking $2500. It's currently with me in Fort Polk, LA, but I will be moving in the next couple weeks to Fort Knox, KY and bringing it with me if I can't sell it before I move.

Hey man, consider host your pictures on imgur. Whoever is hosting your pictures now is adding spammy links to them.
This is pretty cool man. Not my cup of tea per sey but i can appreciate the time dedication and effort you've put into it. it looks really well done. Why are you letting it go?
Hurt my bike something fierce, can't ride without excessive pain. So, rather than have it sit in my garage to stare at occasionally, might as well sell it to someone who can enjoy it.

time to get a cruiser then?
I hate cruisers. Like driving a Buick with the windows down to me. Just going to let this one go and get a nice car with a sunroof.
