Well she ran after 50 posts a lot of mistatkes even more aggrivation I got her to run like new. I just wanted to thank everyone I never would of been able to trouble shoot all my problems without this site.
Thanks,
Adam
Now all I have to do is wait two months fo the snow to melt :x :x
oh and a special thanks to scratch kerry pablo and kevin c yall saved me from puttin a bullet in my bike
So what was it?
I'm not 100% sure but I prayed the starter fluid and it started after which I discovered that the idle mixture screw was turned down as low as it went and the vaccum hose on the petcock wasn't connected. I think the idle screw was the real culprit because even after it warmed a full choke could only bring the rpm's to 4k so I think the engine was starved for something (i'm not sure if the idle screw controls air or gas) anyway the starter fluid I think helped it get over it's cold condition and fire up which I think it would of done on its own has everything else been perfect
Thanks to the search on this bible 'o' GS, I've fixed all of my f'ups and
'i left outs' thus far w/out a shout. My '02 is a better bike because of this site. My frankenGS will rule all of GSing when I am through ;) The cats in central/northern Jersey may see it in transition, but I will show the lot later :thumb:
GOOD TO HEAR!!! Now ride that hoochy mama.
Its a shame about the snow. I know back at home in Calgary, lots of guys I ride with already have their bikes out, and are terrorizing the streets...very carefully mind you. Still lots of gravel.
Brain.....with the weather starting to get better, I look forward to seeing what you have done with the bike. Let me know when you want to ride.
Wayne

(Hey, I just blew by a thousand posts, what a way to go. I wonder if I'll get one of those custom titles now, like "To-fro", because I'm always going "To and fro"?)
