Well the time has come to pass on the brilliance know as the gs, just selling my baby as I've upgraded to a new bike, will be a bit heartbreaking not being able to ride her again but I'm looking forward to the newby  :) I've just bought the Yamaha xv950 Commonly known as the star bolt

I like the look of the Star Bolt series, and the power/dollars spent vs a similar Harley is a definite plus!

Alas, they don't have a good relationship with me.  I don't find them particularly comfortable (cruisers in general, it's a foot-pegs and handlebar placement thing.  I'm always knocking my knees on the tank, hitting my ankles on the pegs at stops, and my lower back gets a strain on it) and the last Bolt I rode at a Yamaha demo punched me in the rocks something awful when I went over a pothole.

No fun.

But I hope you enjoy it!  Yamaha is a great manufacturer, and the Bolts are solid bikes!

The Bolt looks like they forgot to do something ... like finish it, they forgot to paint it, or put some side covers on it or something. Yea the intended look I know, but I'd like to point out, they're not fooling anyone.
Cool.

Buddha. ..  while it looks a good bike ... I get the same 'somethings off' feeling. .. to me all the engine and body parts look good. . But the frame tubes just look too skinny? ... a bit more beef in them would fill out the 'street cruiser' look...

950 tho! .. plenty of beefy goodness in there! :thumb:
