Hey guys, I've had this GS500 for a while, I use it all the time to get to work. I put a new set of sprockets and chain when I got it. about 4000 miles ago. Check out my rear sprocket, what am I doing wrong? I tried posting a picture but I cant get a small enough file. The teeth to the sprocket are all very thin and swept forward.

I can't help you with the sprocket issue (I could only guess and I don't wanna say something totally stupid lol) but to post a picture (which will help others to see the problem) you gotta host them on photobucket or imgur or facebook... etc... and then link them here using the little Mona Lisa button above the message box... insert the link between these thingies here ---> [ img ] [ /img ] ...they pop up when you click that button.

It really could be any number of things..... from a cheap set of gear on ebay, zero lube maintenance, chain tension being way too tight, etc, etc..
I did get this set on ebay, (hangs head in shame). But I lube the chain several times a week, and I would say that I'm on the verge of being too loose on the chain as apposed to to tight. I will work on getting a picture uploaded. Thanks.
Upload your picture to a hosting site like photobucket, imgur, etc. and post a link here inside the [ IMG][ /IMG] tags. I'm also wondering about the material your ebay sprocket is composed of.
Is the sprocket aluminum or steel?
