Title: Problem Re-Installing Buckets
Post by: jrtaylorthird on September 06, 2016, 10:36:41 AM
Removed exhaust bucket and it just won't go back in. The other three slide in and out with no problem, but I'm getting nowhere with the exhaust one. I've searched through the forums to see if anyone had some secret way of doing it, but I only find people just managing to tap them in from all different ways. But I still have no luck.

I've got the bucket in the freezer now trying to shrink that metal up. Any other advice? The engine's still in the frame, I don't have the space to remove it completely. Maybe I could take the head off and that would help give me a bit more room?

I've figured out it's just one particular bucket that won't fit. I've moved the other buckets around in their bores, they all turn and slide easily, but one bucket just doesn't fit anywhere, and I can't figure out why.

Wiggle and rotate it etc. They tend to wear in their bores. Sometimes they also wont let air out and hence don't want to fit.
Cool.
