Title: PAIR Valve Removal
Post by: dwidrick on September 24, 2016, 06:18:07 AM
Hi I am new to the forum and have just bought an 09 500f. I am looking into removing the PAIR system but have mixed reviews whether this is actually helpful for anything or not. I'm not concerned with the looks of it so much but it seems to leak oil out of where the pair valve pipes connect into the head. I am wondering if I remove them and put in some plugs there if that should help that problem? I would also need to know exactly what removal plugs I need so I don't put the wrong ones in.

I am also wondering what I could do in this process that would help performance at all. I know people say the weight reduction but that seems like too little weight to make much difference. I want to get a little more power but have no clue where to start. I am new to bikes and do not know much at all about them so I apologize if I sound dumb! Thanks for your help!

OK, thanks. Do I need to just plug that and call it good or do I need to plug the other end of the hose? Thanks!
