Title: Mods vs Rockers
Post by: twocool on October 08, 2016, 06:43:41 PM
Interesting museum show...I'm going to try to go there next Sunday Oct. 15.

(my "other bike" is a cafe racer!)...

6 hours round trip...maybe can't do it by bike in middle of October...maybe by car?  I dunno yet.

Nice! I'm on the west side of the state, but I wouldn't think riding the bike would be TOO bad next weekend..... as long as you're prepared for it.

If you do go, take some pics and post them. I've never been there and have only heard a little about it.

And I may have recommended it before, but Barbers museum in Alabama is a motorcyclists dream. They have a race track on the property, and the museum is PACKED with all kinds of stuff..... race bikes, standard UJM's, race cars, board track racers, etc etc etc.

Yeah, the ride is certainly do-able on the GS...but only 10 hours daylight this time of year...plus cold in the AM...makes for not too much time once out there.  I guess I could "overnight".  My cafe race is not so comfy as the GS...gets "rugged after 100 miles or so...
