Title: Gs500e vs Gs500f Choke Cable / Starter Cable
Post by: Hupjai on October 16, 2016, 01:06:24 PM
Hey y'all!

Been a while since I've lasy posted. Getting back to working on my 91' GS500E. Working on the choke cable, I ended up snapping the cable, which is great be cause it didn't work and was rusty.

Will an 06 GS500F choke cable work for my GS500E?

GS500E part #5841-01D11
GS500F  part#5841-01D70

What's the difference, if any?  :dunno_black:

Thanks in advance, everyone!

Probably length.

Differing bar styles need longer/shorter items to prevent fouling on full lock. However the latter 3 circuit carbs may have an altogether different fixing arrangement.

The numbers are significantly different, I wouldn't assume they are directly interchangeable.
