Title: 04 R6 5SL Rear Shock conversion?

Hi all,

I am new here and would appreciate some opinions on whether or not the following suspension would fit the gs500? I know the 08+ version is generally the way to go however I would prefer it in a red colour and most of the 08+ models are yellow and more expensive.

G'day Santeria,

I'm currently building a 2005 GS500F, and learning while I go. My first build.
Check out this link: http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=70417.msg846423#msg846423 on the forum and from what I've noticed my daily ride 2010 GS500F has been fitted with a GSX-R600 (or equivalent) rear shock. i could be wrong.

Never rode on another shock strut so I can't say how the OEM strut would feel in comparison

That's a Yamaha R6 shock
