The color and nipples on either end lead me to believe fuel goes through it, but I've never seen a square fuel filter...

It came from between a small section of fuel line from the frame petcock which connected to this, then a second small section of fuel line which came from this and connected to the T-pipe connector on the carbs between the float bowls.

I'm not sure it is. Markings suggest it originated from central and northern Europe.
I've noticed a lot of in line fuel filters are made in Israel. Could be that they make things like these meant to go into some odd tight spaces.

Definitely some kind of fuel filter I think. Why it would be square, I can't say :dunno_black:
I suppose a filter doesn't have to be round...
