The air rifle and lamp were two key components of the movie. The kid wanted an air rifle for Christmas but his mother wouldn't let him have one. The lamp was a "major award" his father won; it was hideous but he loved it.
Yup lol. Funny when the dad says " ooohhh its foreign" and sounds out fragile as fra-gee-lay . the gun one "you'll shoot your eye out". Then there was the pink bunny suit.

That's the Great Escape, with (obviously) Steve McQueen. For other films, almost anything he did.
correct :) it wasnt the film i was trying to picture BUT, still you win. NOW for bonus points, the film i was trying to picture originally involves mcqueen and a motorcycle in the early 70s film in my opinion was one of the greatest motorcycle films ever.
