Title: Specs for bolt that holds the intake boot to cylinder head
Post by: Darkstar on March 09, 2017, 10:09:45 AM
This bolt #20 here: http://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts/2007-suzuki-gs500f/o/m16095#sch649446
Part #02112-1616B. Not available...even on ebay. Mine is on the brink of stripping so I want to obtain one ahead of time so I can just replace after I yank the old one out. Anyone know the specs/measurements for this part?

My suggestion is just remove at least one of the bolts and then you can match it up to new bolts you can get locally. Your average hardware store will have a stainless steel hex head cap screw that will work. It doesn't take anything special.

Really surprised you are having trouble getting them out. Did you try a #3 Phillips bit in a ratchet?

I plan on it, but the head was already stripping on the first attempt, and I wouldn't be surprised if it completely stripped this time around.

Here's the deal about just running to the hardware store. I live in a city where parking is $225, so I opt to park in an alley, and there's thieves/drug-addicts here. This is also the only place I can work on my bike. People will steal whatever is laying around. Ive had bar ends and bike covers stolen. So, when I work on my bike, I can only really do the work in one session. I can't open it up and then just run down the street. I appreciate your advice though
