So somebody vandalized my bike and decided to snap off one of the terminals on the front brakelight switch flush with the housing. I ignored it at the time but since I'm trying to get the bike ready for the riding season it has come time to fix it. Does anybody know of a conductive adhesive that would work with the terminal? The shipping turns more expensive for me than the switch itself and the amount of work seems like quite a lot for a full replacement.
About the only thing I can think of would be to solder it, but it doesn't sound like that is going to be an option for you. Maybe hit up ebay, or check in one of the part out threads here?
I don't think soldering is an option either, unless you can open the switch, but if you can open the switch then you're better off replacing the whole terminal.
I think the best (perhaps only) option is replacement. It's too bad that shipping cost is higher than the part cost, but that is often unavoidable.
Well thats a shame, guess ill just have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.
Go to your local electronics store and buy a "Circuit Writer Pen".
It will make a liquid connection that takes 24 hours to dry and become conductive.
It will not be a physically strong connection but you can put some epoxy over the top after the drying period to make it strong.

I would not rely on anything except a replacement switch. And I'm a colossal cheap skate who fixes everything myself, but I'd replace the switch.
Last thing you want is to get rear-ended on your bike because you decided to save a few bucks on a brake switch.
