Greetings folks, like the subject says, its been a long while since ive been on.  life kinda got in the way of things. Anyway,  i need a complete wiring harness for early Gen GS500, aswell as both left and right controls (both lights/turn and start button kill switch and front brake switch).  please like everyone else, i live check to check. Hi Blueknyt,

I bought used left and right controls sometime last year off a parts bike... and they are down at my dad's garage in my bike parts box. I am not sure if they work or what shape they are in because I never used them or needed them yet. I'll take a trip down there tomorrow or Tuesday on my day off and see what they look like... send ya some pics if nobody else replies to ya

that would be super helpful. my 89 is going through the slow painful start of restoration just to be useable.  it sat and the plastic of the controls is crumbling, not to mention im finding bits of wiring harness chewed on all over.   this is gonna be a long road to recovery. but gotta do it on the DL. being tight on cash, the Ole lady would kill me if she found out im restoring 2 bikes at the same time.  the other is only being allowed to be restored as its a goldwing and she can go for rides too.  the little GS that i love so much could not handle 500lbs of riders.

Oh my!! Ugh the thought of that wiring

Well I would love to be able to help ya out with your GS restoration! Talked with my dad already about it and he said that if I didn't make it down there to the shop tomorrow he would just bring me the box of parts. Hope I have what ya need!

I was 325 lbs. giving rides to my friends when needed.  The suspension on the GS did not like it but it worked.  Good luck on your 'Wing.  Hella good motorcycle there.
