Post by: Jasminemariah1992 on April 23, 2017, 05:57:42 PM
Hello! New rider here. Just purchased this beauty 😍
Very excited for this to be my first bike but i did drop it and broke the clutch lever a few days ago which has me a bit discouraged. But I'm super excited to get back on my 2007 Suzuki  :D

Welcome to the forum!!

I'm bummed I can't see the pic for some reason :technical:

dominickbuff is right, we've all been there. Best to get that outta the way early :thumb: I think the first time I went down I snapped the clutch lever too... was making a left turn all slow and wobbly, saw a then co-worker of mine in her Jeep, waved to her and fell LOL! I learned right then that I could pick up my GS in a hurry if I ever had to too

Welcome to the forum.

Like others have said, little drops and clutch/brake lever replacements happen to everyone.
So far, just from family members, I've replaced levers on a GS500 (mine), a Honda CB500X (my wife's), a BMW G650GS (brother-in-law), VStrom1000 (another brother-in-law).
All part of the glorious tapestry that is motorcycle riding  :thumb:

You picked a great bike to learn on. Forgiving and not to costly to maintain/repair.
