Title: RIP Nicky Hayden
Post by: qcbaker on May 22, 2017, 10:18:30 AM
I don't know how much racing you guys follow, but Nicky Hayden died today. For anyone who doesn't know, Nicky was the youngest AMA Superbike champ ever in 2002 and the last American to win a motoGP title in 2006. He died as a result of injuries sustained after being struck by a car while bicycling in Italy.

I know a number of you are bicyclists as well as motorcyclists, so stay safe out there.

Sad news in the world of motorsports. Prayers go out to his family and friends.

Sad indeed.
I hate it how so many racing champions get greviously hurt doing something inane.
Schumacher, Hayden and Damon Hill's dad, Graham Hill who died in a plane crash.
Actually I believe he had just got his street licence that day. My old timer friend seemed to say that.
Cool.
