Hey Guys.
I've done a lot of things on my bike over the last few years. Cleaned the carbs, new plugs, new link rod etc.
The bike seems to run fine as far as i know
I was looking at a carb sync just for the fun of it. I wanted to build the two bottle carb sync tool and do it. I'm fascinated by it.
is there any reason i shouldn't do it just for the fun of it or is it always beneficial to do it and make sure they're in sync.
should i wait till the bike is warmed up before i attempt it or does it not matter much?

I'd be inclined to say "don't fix what isn't broken" lest you create a problem, but I'm also interested to see what you come up with.
I can never work out where the hoses attach to the carb, when you work it out let me know.
Do it when it's warm, at an idle or just above an idle, don't blip the throttle. Syncing TB's or carbs makes the carbs work as a team as you transition off an idle, the farther you get away from an idle the less syncing comes into play.

check out adidasguys vid on this, GOD rest his soul . he explained how to do it. now doing it for fun? tbh maybe. for justification that it was done ;). ive done 2 hellish carb syncs. one was on a moody cbx @ mmi, another was on a classic maserati 8cyl. (was questioning the hell i got myself into lol)

This pix shows the extension hose you add and leave on the bike to make the job easier the next time (port is in same place on both carbs) These are the carbs off my '07. Other years may be different?

I'm just trying to figure out if they are out of sync at all and it's a fun project. Thanks for the tip.
Why do you say don't blip the throttle? So i should sync them while idling only?
The videos i've seen say blip the throttle.

I have a mercury manometer, I don't want to suck mercury into my engine....blipping proves nothing.
