Title: How do I contact admin. Can't find a path. RE Photobucket.
Post by: gregjet on August 13, 2017, 04:35:12 PM
I have been looking for a path to contact admin about the photobucket changes that have made the posts with pics stored in photobucket unavailable. I have deleted my photobucket account as they now require payt to use the sevice ( new it would come sooner or later).
Is there a plan to allow photo posting direct again on the forum?

I use ImageShack.  I do pay for it, but it is an optional service I signed up for to allow expanded storage (I have way too many pictures, some dating back to the early 2000s), otherwise it's free hosting.  As big a forum user as I am I opted for the $2 a month to keep all my pictures hosted, even in archived threads.

I deleted my photobucket account and have been using imgur. So far, so good... and free too!

There should be a sticky to use http://postimages.org this is the best solution. It will not be deleted and it provides links to the original photo or thumbnails for forums. Plus it's free and simple.

If you use Chrome look for the extension "photobucket hotlink fix". If you use Firefox / Opera you're SOL as far as I'm aware.
