I bought my GS500F a year ago and got only one key with it I went to the grocery store when I came out I lost it I had to have my bike towed home through a bunch of super hassle I finally got a key cut for it and got an extra two does anybody know a good place to hide a key on the bike so if I do lose it I don't have to go back to my house which might be a hundred and some miles to get it I'm magnetic key holder possibly any input is appreciated
Maybe Gorilla tape it inside the fairing somewhere???
Key copies can be hidden any and everywhere. Yea inside the fairing is a good one, so is inside the bar end on a press fit bar end weight, I also have shoved them between the upper and lower triples with duct tape on the key to ensure a tight fit. Also why not one in your wallet, especially one cut from plastic like AAA used to do.
Cool.
Buddha.
The key to my gs500 as always been right in the ignition switch, never take it out except to open the gas cap, then it goes right back. I guess there is a risk of the bike getting stolen...but that kind of thing is rare around here...everybody has guns...

I suppose there's a nice little screw on the right side of the engine, comes out, there's a stick attached? just tape it to that.. dunno what it's used for anyway, seems pretty useless. :D

This is what I would do, back when I carried a wallet.
or in or around the fusebox. ;)

If your frame is black (or have any black tubes of metal somewhere), I'd go with wrapping the key to it with about 2' of electrical tape. Somewhere not in the open, maybe near some plastics or something? Easy enough to reach but any passerby would assume it's holding a wire in place.
My key lives in the inside jacket pocket. ATGATT, baby.
If I was nuts enough to ride without a jacket, I'd tuck it into my helmet. I don't want to think about being nuts enough to ride without a helmet.
tank? ;)
"Where is the Blest place to hide a key on a GS500F"
Preferably somewhere original and clever that is not able to be discovered by searching on the inter webs. In other words, when you work it out don't advertise it.
