Title: WTB Complete Cylinder Head
Post by: T-800 on September 14, 2017, 09:03:44 PM
Hey everyone,

Tore top end apart today and left cylinder cam journals and cam ends are shot-completely ground down.

Anyways I'm in the market for a used cylinder head and cams. Wanted to try here before ebay.

Its a 2001 GS500, but it looks like newer years also fit as long as tach is changed.

Thanks!
Matt

Someone should try to machine the cam ends on the thing to take a roller bearing. That will let you get rid of that end float completely.

But you'd have to find a way to get some oil into the shim/valve contact area. Now it gets through the cam journals.

Cool.
Buddha.
