Title: 2004 gs500f
Post by: tae715 on September 30, 2017, 08:01:29 AM
So I was recently given a 2004 gs500f and the forks are slightly bent and when I search on eBay a used pair start at around 200$ that's kind of absurd but I saw that the 2001 forks are significantly cheaper is there a way I could use 2001 forks on my 2004? Any tips would be greatly appreciated

P.S thanks for allowing me to join

They're the same.
You can straighten them if its only slightly bent. Have to find a good reputable guy with a press.
Cool.

So even a set from a 2000 would work as well?

As long as you're replacing the entire fork and not just one or two internal parts, any year fork will fit on any year GS. I have an '05 and my entire front end is off a '97.
