I was thinking the same thing, but I didn't want to post about it in case there was something I was missing.

As far as I am aware, the lunchbox mod shouldn't impact the petcock or tank in any way. And using a different tank shouldn't mean you have to eliminate the vacuum line from the petcock, either. Why exactly do you want to block it?

So you are saying you are not going to be using a vacuum petcock, right? So what needs to be done to eliminate it entirely? Is that the question?

Or is the question something like how to I make sure the vacuum petcock continues to work?

If you want to eliminate the vacuum petcock, then just replace it with some manual petcock and put a plug on the vacuum port on the carb.

If you want to make sure it continues to work, you just need to connect the vacuum port from the carb as originally configured and it will continue to work.

BTW if you change to a tank without a reserve port, then you probably need to just Y-connect the reserve and normal inlets to the petcock together. You could always block off the reserve inlet on the petcock and then reserve would be like "OFF". The frame petcock can be used like a manual petcock with the vacuum port plugged and the reserve plugged, then switch it between PRI (which will be like "ON") and RES (which will be like "OFF").
