Title: New Clutch and Brake levers
Post by: user11235813 on March 28, 2018, 09:18:47 PM
Just installed these, and they are very snazzy, the length of the handle is adjustable which is very cool and it's great to have easily adjustable levers on the clutch as well as the brake. Quality is impeccable. And they fold up instead of snapping off in case of a drop.

I like those, never understand why aftermarket levers have holes at the ends of them though. is it for tassels or something?

It's all about the weight savings. Think of the performance loss from moving the weight of that hole if it were filled.

IIRC, the GS's levers are compatible with some other Suzuki models of the same year, so GSX-R and SV650 levers fit on the GS. I know that's the case with the F model mirrors. I know because I have mirrors meant for a GSX-R lol.

about 4 years ago I discovered the SV650 levers [at least first gen.] fit the GS500. by needing a lever for the SV650... lol

The GS clutch lever I thought was unique. The 89-00 one is. The perch out of something else may be swapped over likely, but none of those GSXR and kat ones have a mirror thread boss.
Cool.

I don't know, but the levers I ordered on eBay swapped right in with the stock perches and they listed a bunch of models as compatible. But, I did have to specify my model in my order so its possible they gave me a "universal" brake lever but a model-specific clutch lever. :dunno_black:

We used to have to put holes in them to put a safety wire back to the handlebars for racing. Don't know if that's why they are there though.
