Title: Bandit 400 rear wheel? Year to aim for? Or any year?
Post by: hattenbachd on June 12, 2018, 11:29:50 AM
New member here! I tried to search for an answer before posting ;).

I am looking for a Bandit 400 rear wheel and mod my GS500 from 1993, but I wanted to be sure that I got one that "fitted" before buying a Bandit 400 rear wheel. Is there any particular year or spann of years to aim for? Or is any year doable?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum, hattenbachd!

Here's Pablo's information about a Bandit 400 rear wheel swap:

And here's the wiki link about other rear wheel options:
http://wiki.gstwins.com/index.php?n=Upgrades.RearWheel

Hope that helps

Thanks for the welcome and the links, been browsing them but it doesn't say anything about a certain year. So I guess any year will do :).

Pablo's link says, "Note that the Bandit 400's were only imported into the USA in '92 and '93 so these wheels may be difficult to find here." The info on that page is for '92 and '93 Bandit 400 wheels.

I don't know where you are in the world but if you're not in the USA then you might be able to find them a bit easier!

Maybe you could also find the part number of the wheel (from '92 or '93) and then cross-check to see which other years use the same number. If I was looking into it, that's where I'd start.
