Title: 1998 GS500E head

Hey peeps

I'm rebuilding a 98 GS500E and it needs a new cylinder head. Anybody know which years are compatible? I'm finding 97-02 but want to check my work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I put a 91 head into an 04 bike with no problems. I think they all are interchangeable. Although some, like mine, are ugly black ;-)

I see some have the tach gear and some don't. Thanks for the info!

Correct,I moved the sealing cup thingie that seals the tach drive exit from the new head to the old one.
