Title: Turn the ignition on and...nothing!
Post by: yrrabsille on July 21, 2018, 05:39:19 AM
I started the bike one morning and as soon as it fired up, it shut down and everything shut off. Headlight, tail light, gauge lights, everything! Seems to have no electrical power at all. I'm no mechanic, but I'm handy with tools. Where should I start?

Note: Battery is good (cranked strong), I checked the connections as well.

No electrics at all would suggest either the Positive or Negative battery lead isn't attached very well. or there is a break in one of them?

whats the voltage over the battery terminals too?

maybe blew the main fuse. after you check that, then you need to figure the root cause.

Check the main fuse. It might have blown and you probably have a short somewhere in your wiring harness
