Title: Four pot CBR front caliper conversion help required
Post by: Tony2.1 on October 10, 2018, 01:39:23 AM
Hi guys

Finally getting around to getting the bike back together, but have lost any paperwork related to the conversion brackets I bought to mount a CBR600 front caliper, and not able to speak to the seller yet, whilst needing advice asap -

I need to know about mounting the bracket to the fork lugs as they're not threaded due to the bolts passing through them and screwing into the original caliper.

As a high tensile application, I'm also concerned about just tapping standard pitch threads, which is all I have the personal facilities to do.

Can anyone with a good understanding of such things therefore please advise me?

Cheers

The simple solution would be to run a bolt through and put a nut on it.  Maybe two nuts since it's brakes, and maybe a higher than standard grade of bolt.
