Title: Clutch issues, and brakes now too!
Post by: kryptek49 on October 24, 2018, 07:59:56 AM
Not having much luck at the moment with the GS

Currently suffering from quite bad clutch fade in traffic, to the point where the clutch lever is just floppy.

I believe this means I need new clutch plates? I've changed the oil and the clutch cable but neither has made a difference  >:(

After changing the oil I took the bike for a spin to see if the clutch would lose tension again, this involved me using the rear brake a lot to keep the speeds down, and now I've lost all pressure on the rear brake as well.  The foot brake just moves up and down freely now...

MOT runs out in 2 weeks as well so I better get this sorted quick!

Any thoughts on the clutch issue? Is it definitely the plates before I replace them?

Thanks for the help,

Ewan.

Have you checked the fluid level in the rear brake master reservoir?
