Title: Oil Pressure
Post by: Watto on November 08, 2018, 06:23:00 PM
Anybody here checked their oil pressure? I'm getting ready and the gauge plug is freaking low at the frame. Just wondering if I should lean the bike way over or not, so I don't get and oil bath.

When we checked, I leaned the bike over while the mechanic checked the pressure. We put a draining pan beneath the bike for safety.
He recommended checking it when servicing the bike because oil  spills out.

It's on the pressure side of the circuit so oil won't pour out from sump, just the oil that is captive on that side of the circuit. It will not be much, almost nothing if you attach the hose end quickly. but be prepared to catch some lost oil.
