Title: BSR34 jet needle config
Post by: BigKat92 on November 11, 2018, 06:37:34 PM
Hi all,

I'm working on an '05 GS500F and have a question about the correct stock config of the jet needle washers and spacers. From top to bottom, this is what I found on the 5DH59 needle;

0.48mm metal washer
e-clip
2.50mm plastic spacer
1.00mm metal washer

According to the OEM parts diagrams online, everything is correct except for the 1.00mm washer below the plastic spacer. However, I don't want to assume that the parts diagram is 100% accurate bc over the years I've seen a lot of errata in OEM manuals and diagrams. In addition, there's evidence that someone has been into these carbs before me, so there that, too.

Anyway, TIA for any feedback that you can provide. I appreciate it!

Hi, the bottom metal washer is not stock, but is often considered a sensible upgrade to enrichen the mixture at the medium throttle openings.
