will I need to re jet ?.

You can use the restrictor included... should be fine with your existing jetting!
Have a look at the sparkplugs... and look the internet for a guide! New plugs will help in the process ( I will do the same in the following days.!)

Restrictor comes with the K&N drop-in filter and provides similar airflow to a stock paper filter. OP is talking about pods.
Hopefully the K&N "Lunchbox" filter and not actual pods. Nobody has been able to get the GS500 to run well with pods.
