Title: No spark, now green neutral switch will not light up
Post by: kschmidt on March 03, 2019, 06:55:14 PM
Hello all.  I am in desperate need of help.  I posted before on this site and had some success.  I have a 95 GS500e with no spark.  I replaced the spark plugs, ignition coils, and the battery.  I checked the replacement coils with a Multimeter and they appear to be within spec. from what I found online.  The main 20A fuse is good.   The bike cranks but no spark.  The rest of the electronics ( horn, lights) work.  I checked all of the connections.  The only connection that is somewhat suspect is the signal generator connection.  That connection looks good enough to work, meaning I have seen much worse connections work fine without an issue.

Now, the green neutral light does not light up when I am trying to check for spark.  I put it back in neutral, no luck.

The signal generator itself is tight and spotless.  No corrosion or tarnish at all.

At this point, I feel that it is my CDI box.  I bought a used one and I am awaiting for it to arrive.  If this does not do the trick, what is my next step?
