I recently purchased a 2009 GS500F as a summer commuter. It has 14,600km and looks like a very straight bike. I just put it on the road last Friday. Bike seems to run good and idle good. After riding it home Friday from mechanics after safety I parks the bike and did a small inspection. I noticed there was fuel on the side on the carb, some dripping from the nipples on the bottom of the carb onto the motor. No fuel on the ground, it was localized to that area, particularly on the left side of the bike, bit one small drip on the right side. This is a slower leak, I'd estimate a few drops worth over the course of the day, nevertheless it is still leaking. The previous owner did give me paperwork with the bike that confirmed that the carb was cleaned professionally by a local bike mechanic last year. I am new to bikes and not very knowledgeable on what to do or what steps I need to take to figure out/fix the issue at hand. If someone could kindly help me out or point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. I have attached some pictures for reference. Thank you so much GSTWINS community!
Also appears that one of the nipples there is oil coming out of as it feels like oil and doesn't smell much like gas. Does that make sense? Maybe it's water? Still not sure where the gas is coming from in the first place.
