Title: Front master cylinder leaking
Post by: Masterflies on March 01, 2020, 05:25:59 PM
Dear Friends,

I've removed clipons and replaced em with a scrambler-type wheel bar, and also bought a pretty good-looking master cylinder machine, cause the original one has an unproper angle if i place it on a new wheel bar. After a day of trying to bleed the bakes, I had to return back the original master cylinder - Chinese master cylinder is so Chinese... ( But the old one is slightly leaking under that angle - of course I have to order new plate+diaphragm. But, whyle waiting for those new ones, how could I stop that leaking with some quick and dirty solution?

Thank you in advance )

Is that the stock master cyl ? Cos I remember the sight glass was on the inside - facing the rider, not facing the road where it could get clocked by a rock (like on this retarded a$$ Yamaha I got).
Either way I'd not put a sealant in it, if it got in the piston it could kill your brakes. Just get a new gasket etc, or well, fit the correct one.
Cool.
