Title: where does this go exactly 69243-01D00
Post by: johnny ro on March 15, 2020, 02:51:06 PM
The part is a wire that holds the brake line on the swing arm or somewhere nearby. Maybe the low pressure line from the reservoir?

I put things back together with my new Galfers and no idea where this goes.

69243-01D00 - - -"guide, brake hose"

Thanks all.

It goes at the front (reservoir end) of the rear brake torque arm.

I'll upload a picture for you tomorrow if someone else doesn't do it sooner.

Thanks

The Clymer manual shows it in that area. Not a high res picture.

Does this wire cable guide go under the bolt head or under the castellated nut?

The climber manual has a GSXR picture on the cover. cool. The big brother. Prefer the 89 gs500 though.

I might add my torque arm took a couple careful whacks with 4 pound pledge hammer to loosen the nuts. Then spread the ends slightly to fit back on. I expect moire suspension compliance after reassembly with no strong squeeze on the two end bolt/nut/pin assembliies

Mine was the same the first time I took the torque arm off - that front bolt needed some gentle persuasion.

Excuse the state of the bike, it doesn't get cleaned as often as it should for commuting in the winter weather.

Thanks and good pic. I put it together wrong today at lunchtime, it is tilted forward maybe 30 degrees, with the flat end above not below the arm to the rear. It seems safe as is, the hose will not move.

I saw a compressed groove in the outer washer, the spring arm had indented itself. With the cotter pin, the castellated nut its not going anywhere. Zero torque seems good, or one ft.lb. to stop rattles.
