As the title states, planning to get a GS500 and would appreciate some 'mechanical' advice and help locally, if possible?

Just bought a 2000 GS500e and I am in Richmond, VA.

Same boat really. Not a lot of mechanical experience, and bought a bit of a fixer upper for $750.

Germantown Maryland here. Not too experienced but I just completely went through the carbs, sealed my tank and diss/reassembled the top end.
