Post by: cbrfxr67 on September 14, 2020, 01:55:02 PM
Saw this one on the fb thread and just wanted to log it here as I thought it was spankin work.  Credit to Mr Jeroen van der Wal from Oosterlittens.

Wow that's awesome! Any other photos? I'd love to see how the headers look exiting the head, and a more fuller view of the whole bike if there are any (not on Facebook to go looking myself).

The exhaust is very impressive work and respect is due but I am in tears!!!

It is a crying shame that what appears to be a very original and very tidy Euro spec `89 has been butchered. That bike must have been amongst the first to leave the factory, even the mirrors look to be original parts

That colour scheme and the `slingshot` logo appeared on the very first sales brochure.

Two different exhaust systems in each group of photos.

The system in the first set of photos is a nice piece.

I suspect the overall photos were the trial run with cheap mild steel (going by the surface rust), with the better photos the final version.

That's a real neat and tidy job, really keeps it in tight to the bike. I do wonder, however, if that will create an undesirable hot spot for the right cylinder with the header that close, especially with no oil cooler and at lower speeds. Of course being in the Netherlands (I assume that's what the NL on the license plate is for) means it probably never gets really warm anyway.
