Title: tire leak repair report
Post by: johnny ro on October 17, 2020, 07:02:33 PM
My Michelin front tire lost 10 lbs PSI per week riding or not. I could not find any damage. Bartons Yamaha in NH fixed, he found a slow tiny bubble dribbling up in the spray fluid, wheel on the stand laying flat,  between tire and rim. Both look perfect to the eye when dismounted. Put it together with tire rim sealant, and now I am semi-confidant it wont go flat on a ride. Maybe in spring replace the tires to correct the speedo. They are 2012 per the stamp, with what looks like only 1k miles.

2012 is getting up towards where you should be replacing no matter what, even with good tread.

Only you can decide based on how many miles you ride and how hard you ride. If you ride a lot of commuting miles, I would just leave it on and let it wear out. If you don't ride much but ride hard I would swap it out ASAP.

Yup.
I saw the date after the repair. Springtime is just around the corner.
