Title: Greetings from South Africa
Post by: Henrico123 on December 03, 2020, 02:14:39 AM
Hi Guys!

I am completely new to the world of GS twins, having raced mostly 2-stroke MX bikes previously. Bought myself a 1991 GS400E Cafe racer project last week, but info is VERY scarce on the bike. Does anyone know where I can find more info/manuals/parts catalogs etc?

Have a good one,

Henrico

That looks like a GS500e (not a 400).

There is a lot of GS500 information here. Searching the forum will answer many questions.

There is a manual here too, if you search for it.

Part diagrams are readily available online

The Gs wiki is good.  http://wiki.gstwins.com/

Thank you for your reply!

I also thought that it might be a GS500, however, I ran the engine number, it is indeed a GS400e. Motor is getting sorted at the moment, I decided to send it to someone instead of doing it myself so I can focus on the frame and astetics.
